Privacy

Public book lookups do not require an account. We do not ask for a parent’s or child’s name.

Camera

Your camera is used on your device to read a book barcode. This site does not upload or store camera images or video.

Missing searches and reports

When this copy is hosted on Netlify with form detection enabled, a search without a guide submits the book title, author, or ISBN to a private form. A correction report submits those book details, the selected category, and your message to another private form. These forms do not ask for your name. Please leave personal information out of reports. Netlify may process standard request data under its own privacy practices.

Book services and hosting

Book lookups send your ISBN or title to Google Books and, when needed, Open Library. Covers load from external services. These services and our hosting provider receive normal web-request information, which may include your IP address. Their own privacy practices apply.

Other websites

Review links open third-party websites. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
